Using vinegar to clean vinyl floors is one of the best way to remove grime and dirt. As the cleanser dries the smell of vinegar will fade away. Combine one tablespoon of dish soap one cup of apple cider vinegar along with a gallon of warm water into the bucket mix them well. To clean the floor you should only use white vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
Gently rub the stain in a circular motion watching for any sign of scratching. Make a paste with vinegar and baking soda. When the stain is gone or lightened to your satisfaction clean the floors with your vinegar solution as usual. Vinegar can even remove tough old stains such as wine stains or even old food stains stuck on the floor.
You need to deice now which vinegar you want to use. In case you just want to clean and get rid of odors you should use the apple cider vinegar. To make a vinyl floor cleaning and shining solution at home mix together 1 cup of white vinegar 5 drops of baby oil and 1 gallon of warm water in a large bucket. An alternative is to use apple cider vinegar.

If you choose to clean with white vinegar you can dilute one cup of the vinegar in a bucket filled with a gallon of hot water. Rinse your mop frequently into a different bucket of clean water in between this process. Now dip your mop into the solution and start the cleaning process by applying it all over the vinyl floorings properly. While it has a higher ph balance it is still an effective cleaning agent.
The acid in apple cider vinegar cleans the floor gently without leaving a residue which is perfect for keeping vinyl in good shape. And white vinegar disinfects the floor well. Mix vinegar with a little hot water to create a cleansing mixture.
