How To Get A Dry Tampon Out
Camila Farah

Once i had to take out out an almost dry tampon and it hurt too much too much friction with the cotton being so dry so i tried it while in a bath of warm water.
But before we get into how tf to get a stuck tampon out let s clarify one thing. Yes removing a dry tampon can be painful. Catch the tampon s cotton cylinder between your fingers and try to pull it out. You might need to use your index finger and your thumb.
Sit in the position that you do for inserting the tampon in. Water works because the tampon absorbs it all the way up and it should then be possible to slide it out. Failing that if it s too far up to get wet in the bath or if you can t wet it with a syringe then using vaginal lubricant eg ky jelly will help you reach in to get hold of the tampon and will help it slide out easily. Both of these positions are ideal for removing the tampon.
Find the tampon and insert another finger if you d only used one at first. There are two reasons why it s more difficult and sometimes painful to remove a dry tampon. I still had very light bleeding so i continued to use tampons however it was very dry and kind of uncomfortable. I am on bc and i skipped my sugar pills last week and started a new pack.

My suggestion would be to leave it in a little longer. A dry tampon creates more friction making it harder to remove. Your tampon cannot get lost in your body. 2 wash your hands with soap and warm water.
You can either sit on the toilet seat or stand on one leg placed on the toilet seat. Tampons don t just absorb blood they also absorb vaginal moisture needed to keep vaginal tissues healthy as such they cause small tears in the walls of your vagina these tears can cause pain they also give bacterial toxins responsible for tss a more direct route into the bloodstream. Wet your hands then apply soap. Tampons that are ready to be changed seem to slip and slide out with ease but a dry tampon is a different story.
