How To Fix A Stuck Keyboard Key

Spritzing the compressed air around each key is a good idea.
Use the compressed air to blow any debris or dust out from the spaces between the keys and the keyboard base. The n key wasn t too responsive. You had to really bang on it to get it to register. Also in some cases it s not necessary to remove the key completely.

Unlike a desktop key each key on a laptop keyboard may have three components. Test out the results on your computer. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to pry the key off the keyboard. Take a look how the key is designed.
Let the crumbs shake out to the floor or table. To remove a key without breaking it place the tip of your finger or a flathead screwdriver under a corner of the key and pry it up gently until it pops off. The keycap key pad and the key retainer as shown in the picture. Once the key is off you can clean.
You can also hold it at an angle as long as part of the keyboard is pointing towards the floor step 3 gently shake the keyboard. If that didn t unstick the key you ll need to open the system and go deeper in the cleaning. Insert the blade below the key and gently rotate the screwdriver until the key pops off. If you have a laptop turn it off step 2 turn the keyboard upside down. If the keys are stuck because of liquid spills pop off the key from the keyboard and try to clean the dried liquid off the key switch as much as you can.
