White shells can be set outside in the sun which will bleach them whiter.
Let them dry and display them. 1 part bleach to 10 parts water is sufficiently strong for most cleaning jobs. When you are ready to clean them let the bag thaw at room temperature until completely defrosted. How to clean seashells without using bleach.
You should be able to grab hold of the animal inside and gently pull it out. Once the seashells are dry you can spray them with a clear acrylic spray or rub some mineral oil on them to bring out the colors and add a little shine. Put sea shells in a large pot of water. There are some exceptions. If the whole animal is in the shell it has to be removed before using bleach. This step is optional but it s a nice finishing touch if you ll be putting the shells on display.
After bleaching just flush with water inside and out and dry. If you are nervous about using bleach try it on a few less desirable specimens until you gain some confidence in the technique.
