How To Clean Corrosion Off Chrome Rims

In this video i am going to go over how you can clean restore and polish old dirty and rusty chrome wheels. Then dip a piece of aluminum foil into water and rub it over the rust spots since aluminum reacts chemically with rust. But this procedure will work with any metal like. Wash the chrome with soap and water rinse and dry it with a towel.

Apply according to the instructions then rub it off with a damp cloth. Fill a spray bottle with undiluted white vinegar. Dry the area with a clean towel. Use a chrome polish and corrosion remover such as neverdull to remove any other spots of corrosion. Use a circular motion and apply gentle pressure as you work. Dip a toothbrush or soft bristled nylon brush into vinegar and scrub the corrosion off the surface. Before you try to remove rust first clean your chrome.

Generously spray the corroded chrome and let the vinegar sit on the surface for 10 to 15 minutes. Use a clean and dry microfiber cloth to rub the baby oil into the surface of the chrome.
