How To Get Acrylic Paint Off Walls
Olivia Luz

Let the stain soak for about 15 minutes.
Once the bulk of the stain is removed dampen the corner of a clean rag with glycerin. This alone may remove the dried water based paint if it s recent. If the artist paint that you used is acrylic as you said and if the wall paint is latex especially gloss or semi gloss even satin then i can tell you that i have had good luck putting a little blue dawn liquid on it rubbing it around on the paint alittle then using a warm damp washcloth terry cloth and rubbing it off. Just plain acetone is a good way to remove acrylic paint or look for commercial products such as goof off at your home improvement store.
You want to saturate it but still wring it out to remove excess liquid as you do not want to soak the paint just clean it. To use a paint scraper place the blade at the bottom of the paint you wish to remove apply pressure so the blade slides under the paint then peel the paint off as you slide the paint scraper upwards. By that point the rubbing alcohol will have loosened the paint so now you can scrape it off. You paint it on with a brush apply laminated paper and then you remove both the paint and paper with a plastic putty knife.
Take a sponge and dip it into the water. Use your butterknife or toothbrush to separate the paint from the material. If neither softens the paint the only alternative is to sand it off and repair the. Then wipe down the wall with the sponge to remove any dirt or grime that may have accumulated.

If there are any awkward spots try using toothpicks or toothbrushes you don t plan on using again to scrape off the paint. I have heard using rubbing alcohol or vodka may work to get acrylic paint. Dab either on the paint with a cotton swab and scrape the paint off with a plastic putty knife when it softens. You may have to do a little extra scraping of bits left behind and walls may still need sanding before you prime and paint your walls.
Lightly wipe the entire affected area with the glycerin. Continue soaking new cotton balls and blotting the area until the paint is completely removed. Let the liquid soak into the fabric and use the cotton balls to soak up the paint as it loosens from the fabric.
