How To Fix Vinyl Coming Off Shirt

Turn the t shirt inside out and then locate the area behind the design you want to remove.

Heat an iron to a high heat setting. Place the white paper as a barrier to direct heat. You can swing the upper plate away as you lay your material and artwork and put it back in place when finished. Press the letter in place against the fabric of the item.

This type of heat press permits the upper platen plate which presses the vinyl against the t shirt to swing either clockwise or counterclockwise from the lower platen. Place a wax paper over your shirt so a hot iron can melt away the vinyl easily. Set your iron following the fusible manufacturer s instructions and fuse the web to the back of the elements. Spread the glue so that it covers the entire width of the loose area of the letter.

Start with very short pressing time. Remember the iron has to be hot enough to melt the print but not so hot that your shirt will suffer damages. Make sure you don t have so much glue that it will ooze out from the edge of the letter when pressed into place. Put the t shirt in the dryer for a few minutes on the highest heat available.

Almost a tap and gradually increase it until you come to a few seconds time period which will adhere the plastic layers without melting them so much that they stick to the paper. Gently press down and slide the edge of the iron slowly along the edge of the paper. Rough cut a piece of fusible web a bit larger than the elements to be reattached. Make sure that the cardboard is positioned under the numbers and that the numbers you re going to fix are still intact. Use a solvent to chemically loosen the vinyl from the fabric.
