How To Clean A Smelly Garbage Disposal
Olivia Luz

If you still notice the smell pour baking soda into the garbage disposal then slowly pour vinegar in and let the mixture sit for an hour.
First lift the rubber flaps and pour one half cup of baking soda into your garbage disposal drain. Fill the sink about half way full with hot water. The first method for removing a rotten smell from a sink s garbage disposal is also the simplest mixing hot water and soap. Fill the entire drain until you cannot add any more baking soda.
Also this is a great method to apply as vinegar acts both as a bacterial killer and a natural deodorizer. Pour a half cup of baking soda in the disposal and then add a chaser of a cup of white vinegar. The vinegar will work to kill off any of the germs and bacteria that are in the smelly garbage disposal and the baking soda will help to get rid of the nasty smell. Take the old toothbrush and add some dawn soap to it.
In a pinch vinegar can be used on its own along with cool water. And in the future with regular cleaning of the garbage disposal you can make sure odors stay away. Once it has set for about 10 15 minutes you can now start to clean it. Add in a couple squirts of liquid dishwashing soap.
